On this page you will find original poetry by Juanita J. Martin. She has been writing poetry for over 35 years. She writes about a variety of topics including nature, politics, and romance.

     Although many of Martin's poems are written in free verse, she has penned some poems in fixed form. Her style combines the themes of life, the abstract, relationships, passion and imagery. Her poetry reflects  inspiration, empowerment, and healing.

     Juanita's poetry appears in various anthologies and journals in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Martin has been a featured reader at numerous open mike venues, such as Healdsburg Literary Guild, Petaluma Poetry Walk, and Berkeley Poetry Festival. You can read samples of her poetry  below.
